Over the years I’ve come to appreciate the audiobook format more and more. Not as a complete substitute to physically reading but as an accomplice to it. There have been days when I’ve been too tired to look at a screen or words on page at the end of the day, and audiobooks have been there to help me get my fix for the day. Going from that to listening to books I’ve already read to experience the nuance the narrator brings to some of my favourite worlds has been an experience in its own.
