Another book I picked up because of a trailer seen online. The Terminal List is an upcoming show on amazon prime video starring Chris Pratt and, of course, its based off a book. Like my earlier review of The Gray Man, Terminal List is another book that a lot of action fans will love.
The book is written by Jack Carr, a former Navy Seal, which adds a lot of weight to the content of the book because unlike many other authors writing fiction, this person has walked the walk so to speak. The main protagonist of the story is Lieutenant Commander James Reece. On his last deployment his team was ambushed, leaving him the only survivor. When more and more incidents occur to the people close to him, Reece begins to realise that he was never meant to survive the ambush. This book is the story of what happens when people in power try to decide a man’s fate, and that man’s retaliation.
I really enjoyed this book. For most parts the events in the book felt realistic as compared to some other over-the-top thrillers. The plot was engaging and fast paced. There are 5 books in the series so far and I am definitely looking forward to picking up the next 4 sometime soon. Definitely recommended as a one-time read, and sits well amidst the likes of other thrillers out there. Until then!
