Jack West Jr. #2 – The Six Sacred Stones
This is the follow up book to the Seven Deadly Wonders by Matthew Reilly. While this potentially could be read on its own, there are quite a few references to events that happened in the previous book. In fact the events of this book are a direct consequence of the first book’s events so I would recommend picking up The Seven Deadly Wonders first. The story ramps up, as if that were even possible, resulting in another action packed book. More historic sites, more adventures, more death defying stunts and another potentially apocalytptic event. I could easily see these as movies directed by Michael Bay. Setting logic aside this was as enjoyable and entertaining as its predecessor. Would definitely recommend.

Jack West Jr. #3 – The Five Greatest Warriors
This is the culmination of events that started in the Seven Deadly Wonders and was continued in The Six Sacred Stones. The Siz Sacred Stones and The Five Greatest Warriors could be considered one massive book that has been broken up into two parts. Like the previous two this book is highly entertaining and is a page turner. Very very fast paced with world-ending stakes, we witness the culmination of all the events that have transpired in the previous two books. Let me just say, I like the finale we see in this book and I wasn’t disappointed. I am so glad I picked up these books again. As over-the-top and non-sensical as some of these stories are they were exactly what I needed to keep me hooked to reading. I couldn’t stop myself from reading the next page and so on even if I had wanted to. Definitely recommend this ‘trilogy’.
