Doodle: Wolverine

Third doodle of the year and this time its Wolverine! I found this image while scouring pinterest and it seemed to fit in well with the first two images in the book. I grew up watching the x-men and for a time was heavily invested in them. Not sure when that changed but sketching wolverine has made me want to revisit the comics and the old cartoons that used to air on tv. My favourite was Cyclops at the time. Since I wear glasses it felt kind of cool to be able to take them off and shoot laser beams from my eyes. Wolverine was too much of an anti-hero in my eyes when I was a kid so never really cared for him. The movies really changed that though. Thank you Hugh Jackman. It’s a shame we may never see him portray the character again. Would have loved to see him in the iconic yellow and black suit. It would have been quite funny though come to think of it.

This image, I think, was originally done by Jim Lee. He’s one of my favourite comic book artists mostly due to his work on batman. He has these twitch streams of him just sketching, and the few recorded sessions I’ve caught on youtube have left me in awe of what this man can do. It’s always a joy to see a master at work.

Well, that’s enough rambling for today. Untile next time. Cheers!
