Well, this has been a few months coming. Unfortunately, I couldn’t upload this at the end of Inktober because, honestly, I still had a few (read as many) of the prompts to finish. Following that, I wanted to colour them with procreate which took the month of december as a whole (I’m still not done with them all; two more to go). But for now, here are my Inktober pokemon doodles for the 2021 prompt list. Some are pretty on the nose as to why I selected them whereas others are a bit of a stretch; they were mostly what came to my mind when I saw the prompt. Let me know what you think, and hopefully, I will be able to share the coloured version soon.

Inktober 2021 prompt list with corresponding pokemon [prompt – pokemon – my interpretation / thoughts]

1. Crystal – Regice – This pokemon looks like shards of crystal hence perfect for the prompt.
2. Suit – Mr. Rime – Well, they are wearing a suit.
3. Vessel – Sinistea – Ghost tea cup
4. Knot – Tangela – Tangle of knots
5. Raven – Corviknight – One of the best bird pokemon to have in your team.
6. Spirit – Gastly – ghost pokemon
7. Fan – Pikachu – Everyone knows pikachu as the face of pokemon. Almost everyone is a fan of pikachu.
8. Watch – Hoothoot – Watcher in the night. lol.
9. Pressure – Lugia – First pokemon that came to mind when seeing the prompt.
10. Pick – Squirtle – Always my first pick among the kanto starter pokemon.
11. Sour – Flapple – It ate a sour apple, and that induced its evolution.
12. Stuck – Muk – Always got other pokemon stuck in them in the anime.
13. Roof – Pidove – I assumed the pigeon pokemon would be sitting and pooping on roofs.
14. Tick – Joltik – Clings to other pokemon like a tick.
15. Helmet – Shelmet – It’s all in the name really.
16. Compass – Nosepass – Known as the compass pokemon.
17. Collide – Golem – Felt like it would be a bad pokemon to collide against.
18. Moon – Lunala – The legendary pokemon known by the name “the beast that calls the moon.”
19. Loop – Meltan – The bolt hole is my interpretation of the prompt.
20. Sprout – Bellsprout – Pretty obvious why this was selected.
21. Fuzzy – Koffing – Known to spout gas leaving other fuzzy or poisoned.
22. Open – Clamperl – Open clam shell pokemon
23. Leak – Cubchoo – Bear Pokemon with a leaky nose
24. Extinct – Kabuto – One of the almost entirely extinct pokemon.
25. Splat – Stunfisk – Should have used muk here but this pokemon is always on the ground and looks like its been flattened. Loose interpretation.
26. Connect – Rotom – The pokemon that acts as a phone / pokedex etc.
27. Spark – Jolteon – electric pokemon that looks like is made of lightning.
28. Crispy – Cyndaquil – One of my favourite Fire starter pokemon. Also, didn’t want to draw charmander.
29. Patch – Scorbunny – New starter pokemon that has a patch on the nose. Also has football related moveset.
30. Slither – Arbok – Snake pokemon
31. Risk – Mewtwo – Always a risk encountering this pokemon.
